Our Mission

Knoxville Barge, a sister company of Brownlee Construction, has been serving Fort Loudoun Lake, Tellico Lake, and the Tennessee River Valley area for nearly 40 years. Our family owned company’s mission is to bring our knowledge and experience to solve our client’s challenging marine projects. We leverage our skillset and expertise to provide our clients with solutions that are cost-effective and provide long term durability. Our experience has given our company the ability to take on any marine project, regardless of scope or complexity to meet and exceed your expectation.

We have recently upgraded our primary construction barge, crane, and tugboat to increase our project flexibility and efficiency.  We provide every client with full-service marine construction, including: pile driving, fixed boat house and marina construction, boat lifts and PWC lifts, dredging, and shoreline stabilization for both residential and commercial purposes.

Knoxville Barge was started by Leonard and Charlie Hobson.  In 1980, Joe Brownlee Jr. joined the Hobson’s improving the equipment and increasing project flexibility and diversity.  We can provide every customer with full service marine construction, including dredging, shoreline stabilization, and a wide range of boat docks for commercial and residential purposes.
